Adoption Process

What is involved in adopting one of our greyhounds ...

Adopting one of our retired greyhounds couldn't be easier.

Firstly, contact us to arrange a visit to the kennels. Appointments are available during the week, early evenings or weekends. Once we have discussed your home circumstances, work, children, other pets etc we can show you the greyhounds that may suit your lifestyle.

You can walk as many as you like to get a feel for the breed. If any steal your heart then a home visit is booked. This visit is for you to see your chosen greyhound(s) in your home environment. From there you can proceed with the adoption or decide it's not for you. At no stage is there any pressure to adopt.

The recommended donation is £125. Each dog will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, deflead and dental checked. You have the option of taking the 4 weeks free Petplan insurance too. You will also receive a collar, lead and muzzle for your greyhound. We always recommend using a indoor cage to assist your new companion in adjusting to their new life and we have these available for loan, if needed. You will also receive post-adoption support and advice should you need it.
